Mini Weaslely Sweater by Jessica Sewell I saw some pictures of little sweaters other people made as christmas gifts last year and decided to draft my own pattern. I can't wait to make one for everyone who likes harry potter! Yarn: worsted or sport weight. Needles: size 5, and size 4 for ribbing. This mini sweater is in the round because I'm afraid of seams :) It's got reglan sleves and ribbing on the colar and cuffs. It is worked bottom up. I recomend making both sleves first. The Initial is duplicat stitched on after the sweater is complete. I made two alphabet charts, or you can make up your own letters http://www.jedigurl.com/crafts/mypatterns Sleves: (make 2) 1. cast on 8 st 2. k2, p2 for two rows 3. knit 10 more rows - 8 was too short 4. break yarn leaving a 4 inch tail 5. slip stitches onto something like a safty pin or scrap yarn Body: 1. cast on 24 st 2. k2, p2 for two rows 3. knit 12 rows 4. k6, slip sleve onto next needle and knit sleve, knit 12 st (across front), slip other sleve onto next needle and knit, knit 6 st 5. k4, ssk, k2tog, k4, ssk, k2tog, k8, ssk, k2tog, k4, ssk, k2tog, k4 (should now have 32 st) 6. k row 7. k3, ssk, k2tog, k2, ssk, k2tog, k6, ssk, k2tog, k2, ssk, k2tog, k3 (should now have 24 st) 8. k row 9. k2, ssk, k2tog, ssk, k2tog, k4, ssk, k2tog, ssk, k2tog, k2 (left with 16) 8. k2, p2 for 2 rows 9. cast off and weave in ends Details: With a contrasting color, duplicat stitch an initial.
